In 1980, Patrick Mervin began providing Architectural Design & Construction services in Napa and Sonoma counties as well as the greater San Francisco Bay Area. Alissa McNair joined the firm in 2004. After 14 years of working together, in 2017 the firm name was changed from Patrick Mervin & Associates to Mervin & McNair Architects to reflect the evolution of our office. Over the past three decades, we have produced more than 130 residential and commercial projects throughout California, providing full Architectural services to all our projects. Past projects include wineries, wine caves, community centers, custom residences, large and small residential remodels, historic restorations, commercial infill, and tenant improvements.

Because our clients look to us for a unique perspective to their project, we bring our imagination and expertise to every project that we work on from the very beginning design sketches to the completed building. We emphasize integrated architecture with energy efficient design, constructability, and cost effectiveness.

OUR OFFICE

While we are very capable of producing large winery projects, we are by AIA standards, a small office, and this allows us to maintain direct personal attention and contact with our clients and their projects. MMA has been producing quality projects of all scales and we are proud of our many repeat clients who repeatedly put their trust in our abilities and professionalism. Our primary focus is serving local winery clients who have a need to maintain and upgrade their high quality facilities so that they can continue to produce top tier wines
